Just did some reassembling of this tonight, secured with different posts and previously used 6 lb test weight fishing line but it wasn't strong enough with wind. It is planted with pink wave petunias. Will be a matching on on the left but painted opposite colors (green on pot, purple on frame). All from junk. Junk window frames that I sanded and painted, this pot is from something my MIL threw in our shared dumpster, a bucket from her ice cream maker, other bucket same thing, thrown in dumpster but similar size and shape.

That's really nice. Now there's a problem...too many headborad benches, lol. I agree a cushion would look nice and I would have to stencil (or hand paint if you're able) some flowers on that large top board and maybe the sides of the seat. Or maybe a short verse across the top board. I remember those wagon wheel beds. Some were solid maple many moons ago. That ought to be a pretty one, too. Is there any kind of "boutique" store near you that might sell them on commission? Seems like with the holidays comming up you ought to be able to sell a few of these, that would look so pretty with fall and Christmas type decorations.

I love it! I have a book on creating things out of concrete and one of my favorite projects in the book is a bench made with a mold made from sheets of foam cut out to the shape of the seat and two big plastic tote bags for the legs. The writer mixed bits of tumbled glass of different colors into the off-white concrete mix. Then she polished it until it glowed. Loved the effect of the embedded glass and the polishing! Your castings look like polished stone and match beautifully with the gear and the redwood. Love the touch of the crystal too. Gorgeous piece, Robert! Too bad I'm not your Secret Santa recipient! he-he

Jenni do you ever get any sleep??? I just know you lay there at nite thinking up all these cute things you do!! Never did know anyone who had all the talent you do but my favorite is the christmas balls you did have one in my china cabinet and everyone goes crazy when they see it... I think Grant is going to take after his Grandma and have lots of talent also h ugs Kathy
