Start of the Bloom Season
Comments (17)I like tower of babel and both of your seedlings, though maybe the MM X accent a little bit better.. I cant believe your that far behind me edward! Im half over already.. I was even thinking if there ever was going to be a year that some of my daylilies would rebloom it would be this year.. I had my first blooms late june, very early here for regular Tets.. I dont breed earlies, as most of them are blah to me, and I also like roses, so I kinda let one season roll into the next. Silverkelt...See MoreSummer blooms
Comments (10)Good morning everyone ~ Thank you all for looking at the pics and for your kind comments. carolb ~ I got these seeds in a seed swap last fall in Cottage Gardens. I had no idea if they would grow here or not. Planted some in a pot and was giving up hope of seeing any flowers when the buds appeared then bloomed. There are several stalks of buds now. The flowers only last a day but what a sweet blue they are. Now I have to figure out how to collect the seeds. I'm going to put this in the ground as it is a perennial. imatallun ~ Thanks. butterflyy ~ Thank you. It sure is a wonderful blue. I love the crape. Have just had it a year next month. Felix ~ Thank you. I thought those were spider lilies. They were growing out by the sidewalk at corner of our property and we dug up the bulbs recently when we redid the fencing on west side of property. I put them in pots for now and was wonderfully surprised to see the bloom stalks come up a few weeks ago. I'll have to find a place for them in the gardens somewhere. Kathy ~ Thank you. One of these days, you'll be posting pics of your wonderful gardens and flowers. :-) Brenda ~ Thank you. Laura ~ Thanks. I'll go out and take pictures later of the plant. Thanks again everyone. It is a pleasure to share pics with you all. FlowerLady...See Morepost your snow pictures!
Comments (29)From Redmond, WA - I love how this deer fern, which is clinging to the side of a tree, is "hugging" the snow here... I took this one in the calm before the pre-Christmas "wind storm" because I knew the snow wouldn't last on the trees much longer......See MoreSunday morning...sunshine...
Comments (27)Dave, the same with my Hostaworld plants. Not that it is a problem for me, because I know what I can expect. But what makes me sad is that a lot of them get damaged because they are so big when sent in April. The stems are too long, leaves flopping around in the strong wind and not to mention frost...From Volker and Stefan I get plants that are grown outside (if in pots I do not know), but they show normal growth and I am happy from the beginning. And they are more used to the conditions here. In the western part of Germany many are much bigger already, they have a nicer climate, so the plants from the Netherlands have better conditions. Best was my parcel from Renaat, pips, easy to send, no damage at all and easy to plant! So I will try to get my orders next year in March, not later :-) Hard times for me now with all your nice pictures on FB. Already ordered Sea Thunder and Warpaint :-) Karin...See MorePrettypetals_GA_7-8
