Kohler CV15 Acts like vaporlock !!
Comments (6)Old post.. but this tip may be helpful.. My CV16 was "vapor-locking" after running for an hour or so. Ended up being a large collection of grass that was picked up from the air cooling fan and deposited in the cylinder and head fins. The steel gas line runs over the top of the cylinder so when the grass clogged up the cooling fins... the steel line was subject to too much heat and vapor-locked... wish I figured this out before replacing fuel pump (twice), countless filters, rebuilt carb, replaced fuel lines etc.. ha......See MoreNew here- ground cover chokes out everything
Comments (8)Hi Chinchette, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you need to define some different bed areas, if you like the jasmine groundcover and want to keep it in some areas. I would recommend a pretty tall edging. I found an edging at the Collections, etc. website that I really like for areas that need a tall edging. It's a varied-height bamboo edging. Comments (2)Ev's are really only evs where there is not winter chill. regardeless of evs or sevs, they are end up dead to the ground. I dont pay attention to either rating. Its more important to me they survive and rebound well in the spring time. Ive been a propenent of a different rating for the more north zones. Something like ratings to 10 Ie hardiness 8 would = likely to survive winter. But then you have throw in my factors, which is I have snow cover, someone in minn, would give two hoots about that =). Comments (5)I've been seeing variated asiatic jasmine in garden centers, recently. Asiatic jasmine is a great ground cover. It's a little taller than vinca but tighter than most ivy. It knits together and chokes out most weeds, grows well in dry shade. Plus, it isn't an aggressive climber like ivy, so it's safer for your trees. It's not as cold hardy as vinca, but it might be fine in coastal NC....See More- 8 years ago
