Caesarstone Frosty Carrina & London Grey
Comments (1)HI! I just stumbled across this post and I was set on using the cambria torquay in my kitchen too. But last week when I started looking around again I found out that ceasarstone came out with some great new colors. London Gray, frosty carrina. I have seen the frosty carrina in person and it looks nice. I am waiting to see the london gray. Have you gotten pricing ideas? I know that the cambria pricing was a bit on the high end. Can't wait to hear what you end up with!...See MoreCan you match Cambria Torquay with Carrara Tile?
Comments (4)Torquay is predictably patterned but every carrara tile will be different. I just unboxed a carrara countertop that is almost entirely smoke gray, with only 2 veins of cream. If you have laid out your tile in your space and they look good in that room with the light, then go for it. Hey, I'm putting a $700 polished brass faucet on my little slab of carrara. Nobody does that, either. But in my house, in my space, it's gonna work....See MoreCambria Torquay pics please! Considering canceling my Silestone
Comments (47)Doing a small powder room with 2x6 pearl marble subway pattern on walls up to 40" topped by a marble mini brick border and marble chair rail. I'd prefer Not to use a marble floor because its at the beach . I have found this carrera look porcelain that works though its a tad whiter , I would use grey grout . Should I get the real marble floor or look for a different porcelain , I really don't mind the upkeep on the walls but would rather not worry about countertop and floor as its a heavily used bath . as for countertop , on the white 30" vanity , shall I use torquay or a plain white quartz . ? thanks for input . For the record my friend rented a beach house wilth all carrera countertops and was given a 2 page list of all things to avoid , she ended up covering the entire countertop w placemats for the month rather than worry about what would stain or etch them ....See MoreCambria Torquay photos
Comments (10)Thanks, kompy, for your pictures and for reassuring us it will look better in person. The sample is so nice, and it's not at all plastic-looking like some quartz. athensmomof3, I'm with you on the stain testing. I tried everything - red wine (with a bottle sitting on it), coffee, black raspberry jam, etc. - overnight and it all wiped up with a damp paper towel. Please, anyone who sees it in real life or puts it in their kitchen, let us know how it really is!...See MoreLily Spider
