Comments (7)Rick This year i am growing indian princess nasturtiums, orange bell peppers, mammoth dill weed, garlic chives, Texas sweet onions, yellow bell peppers, vine strawberries, california wonder bells, serrano peppers, jalapeno early organic peppers, san marzano maters, bush strawberries, early girl maters, cherry maters, a dwarf lime tree, and a partridge in a pear tree. :> tobacco use on plants...sprinkle dry tobacco around the outside of the container and even inside it if it's big enough. Never get itt where it will ever drain on any roots and you'll be fine. peace - Steve...See MoreCayenne Peppers from Seeds Help!
Comments (2)I'm afraid the way you are doing it will yield zero results. You need to get some seed starting potting soil and some plastic dixie cups or small pots with drain holes. Start your seeds inside on a warm window sill or a place that stays warm (to keep the soil warm and for seed germination..this is crucial). Put saran wrap over the top (after watering) and put a rubber band around the top to hold wrap in place. Keep the soil moist. You will see water bead on the wrap..this is good. Your seeds should germinate in a few weeks, maybe longer. Be patient. Once you see the first two leaves, take the wrap off. Make sure the soil is moist and watch your plants grow. Now, look up "hardening off pepper plants". You will need to do this before you actually plant them outside. This happens when they have at least 4 true leaves and about 3-4" tall. Good luck! Comments (2)Yes, I agree with DON, if you are growing indoors, I think lighting is probably the problem. However, even if the leave at or above the pepper fall off, I dont think the pepper pods themselves will be affected....that is if it is a light issue. Getting some light to the sides might help...maybe some type of reflection system. Also, spreading your plants out a bit might help too. Or, better yet, get them a little real sun...Unless you are in Australia or the artic circle, this is the heart of the growing season outside. If you got that route, just make sure you harden your plants off properly. Maybe a photo of your grow setup will help. Bruce...See Morebmelz
