Yellowing Zucchini Leaves--too much water, deficiency, or borers?

Hi all..just a heads up, I am very new to gardening. I have a zucchini plant in a 6 gallon container that has been doing very well up until lately. A few days ago I noticed that it had yellowing leaves around the bottom of the plant. At this point we'd had several days of rain and no sunshine, so perhaps my plant had too much water and the soil is not draining well? I researched other possible reasons and now I'm wondering if it could be a nutrient deficiency or vine borers? I found a spot on the base of the plant (picture attached) and I'm wondering if this is normal or indicative of squash vine borers? Any suggestions on what could be causing my zucchini to yellow?
