I bought something I really wanted!
Comments (17)Thank you All! Jeanne, Yes it is glass. It is about 10" across. Marlene, It is even prettier in real life than in the catalogs. I can't wait to get it in the garden this spring. I think I am going to try to find a vase or something at the recycle center to use as a base. I don't usually spend this much for something for my garden but I absolutely love this....See Moreis the stuff i bought at lowe's really organic?
Comments (14)Thanks for the replies. It would be awesome if I could get everything organic (the no chemical no gmo etc organic) but I guess that's not necessarily what I've been buying. I've been replacing all our chemical stuff with non-chemical stuff for pests and cleaning etc for many months. So, I'll just take progress on the organic front where I can get it. I wish I didn't need to buy soil at all. But we have a lot of erosion and our dirt is almost all on top of concrete riddled backfill. Plus, the house was a meth lab before we bought it, complete with burn pits, etc. The neighbors even told me the garage blew up once. So, we've bought the field next to us, so I can plant some trees there. But, everything else is going in the big raised beds we've been slowly building. I'm focusing on perennial food plants for now. And, I'm still more comfortable buying the organic stuff from Lowe's slowly to fill the beds, even if it isn't the type of organic I hope it is. I still feel like it will be better for the plants to grow in and my family to eat, than what may or may not be in the soil here from the previous yahoos that cooked meth. Thanks toxcrusadr and gardengal for taking the time to help me sort it out....See Morewell, I did it, ticket is bought
Comments (29)Yeah, I know, 101, 1, and Pacific Coast highway are not the same, LOL, cept for us land locked people. Mel and I will try go get together before long, and plot our way up to Canada. The route back south, along the Pacific Coast is mapped for cyclists via bike maps, and there are a couple of books written on it. I own the book already. I am also working on a new journal on the crazyguyonabike website, and will furnish a link as soon as I make it public. Right now, just the same info as on my first post up there is on it. Thanks to everyone that wrote to me through "my page". I will see about giving you a couple of days notice before I get near you. I am so pumped up about this adventure right now..., after all, I have been waiting for it since 2006. Moni...See MoreI would REALLY like info on a machine I just bought.
Comments (1)Unless that's an industrial machine, it may not be a Juki 201. The Juki 201 is just that ... an industrial machine. Finding manuals for older machines can be a problem. You could try a sewing machine dealer, to see if s/he has any stuffed in a drawer someplace. Watch eBay, too. Sewusa.com is another place -- they don't specifically mention Montgomery Wards in their listings of manuals, but perhaps they may know where to find one. A very long time ago, I had a MW machine that I had inherited from my mom. My SIL has it now (she inherited it from me when I bought another machine), or at least I think she does. But I don't recall the model type or number, except "Wards Signature". Donna...See Morebouldergrower
