Agree w/Joanie: paint the garage door the same as the siding. Keep the front door its own color. Shutters? Are you adding shutters? Do them the same as the siding only 50% darker.

What area of the country do you live?

Took the colors mentioned above and applied them to the home Bear Creek and Teal. Not sure they complement the brick.

Beverly, I think she likes the Gray Stone, not the Bear Creek. Can you do a mockup with the Intense Teal and Gray Stone?

I like them, and I think if the window trim and muntins were painted black, it would look awesome.

I use Microsoft's Office Paint program to do the mock ups. I just think the medium grey tones are too cool next to the brick. You could still consider a dark charcoal grey. That might contrast nicely with the brick.

Here are images with a dark taupe & a mossy green color. You could still use the teal with this dark taupe. Have you thought about the trim on the windows, the fascia boards and on the corners of the home? Same color or contrast?

The brick has a definite peachy, golden. pink cast to the color. This coloration will factor into the paint color decision. Pictures of the brick need to be taken in the sun and CLOSE UP so we can see the colors.

Can you see how complementary the mossy green of the grass and the brighter green of your shrubs goes with the brick?

These pale blues with the brick don't appear to make a very complementary statement for a home

A stronger color works better against the brick, but teal would not be my recommendation

I pulled the 'flash' color from your brick pattern for the paint color and then added a bright teal green for the door.

Like that last mockup of Beverly's. I think a navy door would go great with that burnt siena color and the brick.

SW Colonial Revival Stone (can't get a color on the door. Sorry)

I like Tibb's Colonial Revival Stone. How about using the "grout" color in the brick....that could work well. I like a taupe, more neutral color...not too dark.

Was going to suggest framing the windows but thought you already had shutters. I do think the windows are too close together for shutters.

IMO, the style of your home would not be enhanced by shutters. It would just over-complicate the front of your house. Keep it simple-you have a very pretty home!

Yeah I know shutters wouldn't look good.. So I'm skipping them.. Thinking about a nice framing for them tho...I like the sw colonial revival stone color!!! I think I might go with that one but still debating on a door color!! Not sure wich color would look good?????

Know this sounds boring, but what not do the siding and garage door, etc. in white or near white or soft off white. Then paint your front door that beautiful teal you like so much (and so do I). Think that would look great with your brick.

I like Tibbrix's Revival stone for the body and the Interesting Aqua she posted for the door. I think a light door would make it stand out in the deep shadow of the porch.

I have BM Lucerne and it seems darker than that chip posted above. Also really like BM Gentleman's Gray, which is yummy.

Here I am again. Think those brown tones are just not complimentary to the brick or your house. Wish I knew how to Photoshop, so a picture of what I mean could be shown.

I think I'm in love with Colonial Revival Stone and Interesting Aqua. Dang it Tibbrix, everytime I read paint suggestion threads, I feel like I need to use all these beautiful colors in my home. I hate the color of the outside of our house too, but that's not at the top of the priority list. Maybe Interesting Aqua for that bathroom I asked about but still haven't painted? LOL

I'm with Walnut Creek. I think it would be worth considering an off white for the siding. Wish I could photoshop that in for you to see. Then you would have many choices as to what colour to do the door. From my monitor the brick seems to have some white in it. Is there an off white that would look good with the brick.

what color is your house currently?? I can't tell if it's white or cream or a yellow?? I like it light and would leave it unless it really needs painting... I think if you get a pretty color for the front door it will really stand out !!

then get bigger pots for the front, trim back the bush to the left and move your trash can to the side of the house and maybe put another large pot there... if that's a chair on your front porch, you can add color there too... and if you add a much bigger front porch light, that will help your house look less plain...
