Need help identifying this bush. It came up where a bird feeder hung.

Comments (63)SCG, maybe you don't have much snow cover where you are? If you do have good snow, cats shouldn't be an issue if you locate the feeder in an open area, hanging from a tree. Even the ground feeding birds will spot any cat long before it gets near and will fly up into the tree until the cat leaves. And in my experience cats don't like going out in the snow and cold anyway. Comments (19)A friend of mine has what appears to be a bush or shrub. It is growing upright from a single stem. The bush produces purple berries and the berry are attach to a bright pink >> fushia vine (like the vine when you buy grapes in the store). But, not in full clusters. Then the green foliage moves downward to the ground. I'm sorry I really should have examined it more to see if it was woody. He said it is called (sir-mack) how he pronounce it. In which I know I have the wrong spelling. Also, he said the berries are poisoness to humans but, the robins, finches and blue-jay eat them. the bush stands about 4-5ft. Comments (10)I just remembered that at Thanksgiving (central Indiana), I looked out and saw a white bird with with just a little bit of color on it's wings (brown). It was always with a lot of sparrows. I'm thinking it was "just" a mutation. I wonder if that's what you saw? Did it have any other markings on it? Was it completely white except for the wings? Comments (8)Wow that arbor was a steal!! I assume it's one of those heavy plastic ones? Nice. It's gonna look great out there when everything gets going! Are you using that wheelbarrow as a planter? My husband brought home two old ones from his mom's house when it sold a couple yrs ago. The tires were flat and they were really rusty. We already had a nice big one, so I had him drill a few holes in the bottom and I just planted some mini roses, snapdragons and petunias in them! They're out in the veggie pen. I love feeding the birdies too! Started with the hummies, then the wild birds. And now it's the chickies! My husband and younger son were out hoeing up that horrible foxtail grass out of some of the walkways down below. We can't afford for our dumb dog to get those damn things in her paw again! The rain made all that crap come back with a vengeance! The foxtail and wild carrot (not sure what it really is) are about 3ft tall! The chickens won't eat it tho. I guess it's too rough. Oh, Irisgal, I think SDMLV does blow kinda fast. That bloom is about two days old. I didn't detect any scent on her whatsoever. I was kinda expecting a nice perfume......See More

So far this has been identified as a cherry tree, mulberry tree, crab apple tree and someone said it looked like a white Almond tree. Interesting...
