Smallest seed size you can germinate via the plastic bag method?

I'll be heading off to college soon and I'd still like to grow some plants for my garden while there. However, some of the plants that I would like to grow have very small seeds. For example: (not my image)

I'm doubting I can germinate seeds this size via the plastic bag method, so maybe I should buy a bit of miracle gro potting mix for these seeds? I'm also currently trying to start up some lavender, however they aren't that big or terribly small so I'm hoping it'll work.

What's the smallest seed you have started by using this method?
