I would plant them in the ground at the same level they were when you dug them up - ie with the tip of the bulbs, and certainly all of the new leaf growth, just above the surface of the dirt. Might be Naked Ladies, which is a kind of amaryllis, or might not. When they bloom, which might take a year or two, post pics of them on here if you do not immediately recognize them, and I'm sure someone will be able to identify them. Jackie

There are 60,000 registered daylilies and many many more unregistered daylilies. Unless a daylily is extremely well known and exceptionally distinctive there is no way to ID it from a picture. If you have a known daylily blooming and you can compare it and say this one looks just like the known one and is blooming at the same time and with the same scape height and scape habits and bloom habits as the other one then you can be certain it is the same daylily. Otherwise it is at best a guess and should be treated accordingly. Most daylilies are around $5 now so if having named daylilies is important to you, then destroy those unnamed ones and replace them with varieties where you do know the name.
