Best artificial turf for dogs?
Comments (5)I've had the K9 Artificial grass in my backyard for 6 years now. I posted photos in the other thread. It's been fantastic. I have three mastiffs, and believe me in 6 years that lawn has seen a few thousand gallons of urine and more than it's share of poop and there is no smell, no "stinking mess" at all. Rake up the poo and maybe once in a while, spray it down with a hose, if there's no natural rain to rinse it. It doesn't hold in heat and the dogs haven't damaged it at all. Here is a link that might be useful: K9 Grass...See MoreArtificial turf question
Comments (6)We install turf quite often. Weed barrier is typically not a requirement, but it couldn't hurt as you state. If used, I would put it down on the excavated soil below the imported gravel base. If you are replacing a natural grass lawn with synthetic turf and want to keep the sprinklers, I would cap off the heads that are inside the turf area and only have heads just beyond the edge of the turf. We only keep existing sprinkler systems that are dedicated to a lawn as a way to cool down the turf during hot weather as synthetic turf does get hot in full sun and hot weather....See MoreArtificial Turf Base Install
Comments (2)Look at the manufacturer's recommended installation method. The products we spec, the base is similar to a paver base, with compacted gravel. I wouldn't personally do it on DG because I wouldn't want to warranty it, but if they stand by it, it'll be cheaper....See MorePaver and Artificial Turf
Comments (3)Your condenser is loud and blows air. You have some service entrances, and this area is kind of a utility work area with the hose bibb and what I am assuming looks like the driveway (guessing you removed a fence section to the backyard because of the peek hole for the dog?), and can see it all from the front of house. So with all that, I would question why you would want a decorative paver installation of any type here that attracts attention or has no functional use. If it's just weedy grass (which BTW has complete sun on it in the pic) that you are trying to think of something that looks better, then I would suggest planting a shade tolerant grass and maintaining it better, or softscaping (plants, beds) that can also buffer this utility work area....See Moreemmarene9
