Some pics last night, today and tonight
Comments (9)Thanks Deb. I got the plumie last winter when my friend couldn't fit all hers in the house, lol. It was blooming but we knocked off most of the flowers moving it. We have a red one that is multi branched that we couldn't move and a large yellow one. The others are small. If you plant is has been rooted for a while there is a good chance you will get blooms next year. They like a lot of fertilizer like the brugs. I can't wait to see all those open on the older one and got a surprise flower on another one this morning. I thought it was the orange pot I was seeing through the greenery and I went Humm, whats that red thing, lol. It was a beautiful bloom hiding in there, lol. The variegated hibiscus is pretty but there are such long stems on the flowers they all hang down. You can click on the pics to enlarge them if you can't see them well....See MoreSome pics from the last few days, Part 1
Comments (13)Julia Mariska seems to be doing ok, her substance on her flowers is thin, though. A little bit of water and she melts away, and starts to melt away in the afternoon. Stormy Monday made it through the winter great. Most of my daylilies were new last year, with a few new ones this year, and most made it through the winter with no problems. I lost a couple and a few struggled to get going this spring, but Stormy Monday had no problems at all. Sharons2 I have both Dragon's Eye and Little Red Dragon, and to be honest, I don't see much difference between the two flowers. Both are too new for me to judge quite yet, but I think Dragon's Eye puts out more blooms. They both look great to me, but I actually prefer Dragon's Eye. Everyone else, thank you for the nice compliments! Karen...See MoreA little more variety in pics last night...
Comments (13)Thanks for the comments! Jan, I'm sure your GFH is much prettier than mine, but I love mine too. I am really finding myself drawn to the watermark styles this year especially... Karen, Your favs in this group are actually some of my favs in my garden. You can't beat the oldies like BP though to make a dramatic statement! Barb, although it is an "oldie", I wouldn't be without BP! It is so stunning and just blooms and blooms! Rita, My Wisest of Wizards ( and Gift From Heaven too if you are familiar with it ) are perfect examples of why I have to be careful of the DL's I order. Our climate washes out a lot of the coloring and edges on many blooms... you should see my version of Julie Newmar... beautiful, but nothing like it is when grown in warmer weather. I love my versions, but they tend to be far less dramatic than a lot of the pics I see posted! Tom, If you like the color and form of YEH, just add to that that it is aprox 8", and she is a wower! And my GFH is nice, but again, the pics I have seen from others are way more dramatic. I love mine though! And Jean, thanks! WofW is new to me this year, and has only had about four blossoms on it but I am very fond of it. Julie...See MoreFixer Upper: Pics of the Marble Bath From Last Nights Episode
Comments (20)I try to stay away from Chinese made in the kitchen- one of the reasons I chose Cambria (I liked American made.) Unfortunately, it's not easy. When I was looking at marble, I must have looked through about a hundred slabs, the country of origin was always listed. There's such a huge difference in the way marble from China and marble from Italy looks, just unreal. The price too, huge difference. I don't remember seeing India though, probably did but nothing about it stood out I guess....See Morekentucky_rose zone 6
