Finish decorating my foyer
Comments (13)We need more info. Do you have any inspiration photos? You'll most likely get better responses if you post items you like and ask if it works. What will you use the console for? (What are you planning to do with the shelves that are showing?) I don't know if I'd hang a mirror there because of the light switch. You want the mirror to look connected to the table and not too hight. What's the measurement from the top of the table to the top of the light switch? The bottom of the switch looks where I'd want the bottom of the mirror (about 6"). I'd prime and paint the switch backplate to match the walls. Also any vents. This makes a huge visual difference. As for something on top, what about a low, long bowl for keys or decorative items - boxwood balls, natural vase filler, etc. If you choose wall art I'd hang it so the middle is about 60" from the floor. This may or may not affect the light switch. Another option is to use something decorative in front of the switch to hide it and something(s) on the other side for balance....See More"Gardenweb" is pretty much finished?
Comments (8)There's always much more interest in houses etc. than in yards, that's just the way it is. Except during the holidays, when many in my seasonally damp and dull climate area mount amazing outdoor light displays - yet do nothing noticeable with the same spaces the rest of the year. Even during times and places where some wealthy landowners have made large involved gardens that covered acres there was often a huge house full of sometimes priceless treasures - and little taxation of the upper class - involved as well. With the gardening the first thing to be cut when and if things got tight. I only have to click No Thanks every few minutes when I am not logged in....See MoreHelp me finish my foyer PLEASE!!! Comments (6)I would move your bench over closer to the light switch so that it is not covering part of your stairs. Then i would put a pretty plant on the stair side of your bench. A rug is needed so maybe a longer one like you have in front of the door, so that it comes in front of your bench, Love your bench....See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
