Comments (22)I should have known, I tend to like the Walker Zanger line, but it is pretty pricey. Since I am putting off the back splash for a while, though, when I do get it done I may be able to splurge a little more than I would have if I had done with the rest of the kitchen. Thank you, I would love to know which ones they are, esp. the color names. That inset color looks like it would go well with my countertop, and I am sure it is avialable in more than one design of tile, although I do love the ones you picked out. It also looks beautiful with the background color tile. Rich and understated. It is what I had in mind myself. I love the more colorful ones, but don't really want to limit what I can put with it for accessories. It also doesn't look to me like it would get dated very fast. Classic, I guess. Comments (9)Really nice room. Looks comfortable and inviting. Good choice w/new sofas. Like the fireplace as is ... but less clutter could improve the look of it. Not sure what the picture is above the piano. If it is a family photograph, reframe it and the family photo on the mantel with the same frames and put both above the piano. Really like your coffee table. One day it will be a valuable antique if you don't booger it up. So, for the coffee table, consider taking the table to a glass company and having a dark gray tinted thick glass top created for it -- no refinish for the table necessary. (Alternately, cover everything but the top and paint the top only -- perhaps black or else the same white as your cabinets.) Do the same for your current end table as you do for the coffee table. If you're going to add a second end table, since matching the existing one would likely prove difficult, consider a totally different look -- perhaps a wood 2-drawer filing cabinet? http://realsolidoak.com/office.html...See Morebeige walls, brown couch what color curtins?
Comments (2)What colors will you use as accents? Navy and ivory/white or BARN red and ivory/white would work with the brown sofa. If you choose navy, then you could accent with barn red or visa versa. These two browns aren't great together but can still work. IF you can paint, I'd go with a taupe wall color. If you don't paint, it can still work, but limit anything brown being added. A rug with a neutral taupe and/or an accent color will help break up the browns. How you style your room will help determine the colors. So think about your final product. What items, fabrics, etc. will you be adding to the room?...See MoreRelated Professionals
