Wall oven with separate built in microwave?
Comments (10)Looks great! I am so torn between this and Miele for new build. Budget is not endless and I really want to make smart decisions based on how we live. DH actually thinks Advantium plus regular thermal oven would meet our changing needs. I am thinking Advantium plus single-double leaves us very flexible. Will mostly be the two of us daily, extended family with small children weekly, large crowds about every other month, all oven functions used regularly....See Morecooktop with wall oven directly below
Comments (6)I am doing that! It can be done, but maybe you need a kitchen designer to work with your builder to do it..... I couldn't find what I wanted in a range, so I chose the Electrolux 30" wall oven and the Electrolux 5-burner gas cooktop. I THINK that when you go to look at cooktops, they will tell you either on the website or in the catalogue at a Best Buy or store like that, whether the cooktop is compatible with a built in oven. I told my kitchen designer (where I'm getting my cabinets) that was what I wanted to do and he planned it out and has collaborated with my builder (who also designed the house with me and had this in the preliminary plan as well) and it is not an issue at all. In fact they've designed whatever trip needs to be done looks-wise because the cooktop is wider than the oven, and also mine will be in the corner. There will be some kind of cabinetry fronts or something to make it look right on the sides of the oven. Sorry I don't have pictures as we are months away, but it certainly can be done. You just need someone who will be willing to do something not so ordinary. Good luck!...See MorePantry cabinet + wall oven in one stack? Pics?
Comments (5)Is there enough room in your island to install your wall oven below the counter off to the side of the cooktop? That is what we did and I am really enjoying the functionality. I don't think it is too low. We have a GE Monogram and it has the nice slide out racks. No problems so far. I also have an Advantium in a tall stack with my pantry. It is not split by the counter like you are considering though. Problem is, I feel like we barely have enough pantry space. With a full-size oven I don't think it would be enough for us. Do you have other pantry storage somewhere else as well? If so, it will probably work out fine having the oven there. Note that our pantry is the area below the Advantium. The cabinets above are for baking pans and stuff. The pull-out to the left of the tall stack is also pantry space. I keep all of my baking stuff in there. I'm sorry my photos are so large. I keep trying to size them smaller, but they keep posting huge. Not sure what I am doing wrong....See MoreAnyone built in oven at countertop level?
Comments (1)I'm not clear on what it is exactly that you want to do. But I can show you what I did. I have a viking oven in my island and I have a separate wall unit that has a trivection on the bottom and a cavity for a microwave on top. The cavity has nesting doors for when I don't want to see the MW. GF installed advantium at counter height in a stack next to the fridge....See Moretriciabobisha
