Corner Fireplaces so tv can be centered or tv over fireplace?
Comments (11)I am having the same difficulty. I would like to put the fireplace in a corner (I personally don't like having the TV off to the side on the same wall. In theory I would like it on a corner, but my room is all windows on one side, an a straight wall that joins a hallway so I'm not sure how that would would. As for it being too high, my current plan is to get a very comtemporary low fireplace. Currently we have a similar set up and while the TV is a bit higher than I like it (maybe 6 or 8 inches) with it tilted downwards it has never felt uncomfortable. Some inspiration pics: I'd prefer this without the inset TV as you never know what size you may buy in the future. Comments (19)Honestly, we have not made a decision. We're drawn to the layout with the sectional because it feels more casual and less confrontational. Though we're having trouble finding a sectional. It is much easier to find a traditional sofa we like. Just because of that, we may go with the first layout....See MoreNeed advice on living room arrangement - corner fireplace & huge wall
Comments (14)A 55" TV is only about 48" wide. I really think the sofa should go on the wall and the TV should go above the fireplace. Otherwise, you have to choose between awkward TV viewing or an awkward sofa location. eta: I just read that you never use the fireplace. You could put the TV on a console in front of the fireplace (gasp) I know. But I think you could make it work if none of the fireplace was visible....See MoreHelp! This is not working out! Comments (13)I prefer the first set up and just make sure tv wall is well balanced and interesting. Add add a large coffee, then only one side table will be needed and place a floor lamp at end near fireplace. Two single chairs facing fireplace for better conversation and so seating is not all lined up. If space allowed and they are open to buying a sectional, see below. Is tv too large to go over fireplace and open to that idea? They could add bookcases or cabinets to create a great focal wall. On wall facing sectional, add a console table and art. Inspiration pictures are random decor wise but thought visuals might help in regards to concepts....See MoreRelated Professionals
