PG, Etsy has been selling plants for as long as I've been shopping there. Granted, that's only been about a year or so, but you can find some interesting plants. I ordered a Tillandsia from a shop last year sometime. It was about $5 total. It arrived in perfect condition! The shop offered more "exotic" air plants, but I've never been one to spend $30 on a plant, let alone by mail. I've noticed they sell other things not craft related (at least not by my definition of "craft") Whatever comes to mind, just type it in their search bar, you might just find it, hehe. :) Perhaps to answer your "Why?" question, maybe to add more diversity (just a guess)? Hello! I came across this post while looking for other peanut butterfly babies that had little black dots on their leaves and glad I came across this to notice that others have it as well. Also glad that other people have some luck with growing these. I'm having a lot of luck with mine but they seem to grow the best under a nice strong grow light. I have had mine under the aero garden grow light which seems to be a really strong one and make a lot of my plants really pretty. I'm shocked to know that almost everyone that I stuck in the pot a few months back have now turned into babies that are rooted in and growing but just so everybody knows, they take a very long time. Due to of course the lack of green. But I'm willing to wait to see how they turn out. I'll take a picture of my cuties to show mine. They are very little. I know this post is very old but talking about succulents never gets old 😊 oh and another thing that I noticed about these... They don't like to be watered that much even when they are tiny babies. I have more luck with these ones that barely ever get watered. Also, unfortunately, as I'm taking a photo of this, I'm noticing my Var. Graptopedalum mirinae has lost a ton of leaves after watering. 😫 So devastating. Something told me not to water after the 1st time this happened but thankfully only to one stem but this time it's affected all 9-10 stems. 😔 this is one of my babied favorites too 🥺
