UTEP FloraFest -- Annual Native Plant Sale, El Paso, Texas

I'm excited to go to this for the first time -- was out of town last year and before that, didn't have a garden. This is our major native plant sale, sponsored and fundraising for the University of Texas at El Paso's Chihuahuan Desert Garden. If you are in the area, I'll see you there. Here's a blurb and a link to the garden for those interested:

"FloraFEST 2015 — Region’s Largest Native Plant Sale – Scheduled for April 25 and 26

The UTEP Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens present the 2015 FloraFEST – Native Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, at the museum, corner of University Avenue and Wiggins Road on the UTEP campus.

FloraFEST is the annual fundraiser for the maintenance and operation of the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens and is the LARGEST sale of its kind in the region. Shoppers can purchase native plants and visit with local Master Gardeners and other plant experts for advice on how to care for their plants at home. Most of the plants sold at FloraFEST are not available at local nurseries or retailers.

This year’s theme is “FloraFEST 2015 – Celebrating West Texas” and, as a new FloraFEST feature, there will be a series of lectures and events leading up to the big two-day native plant sale."
