Looking for advice on recessed lighting kitchen plan

Currently working on a plan for our kitchen we're redoing. Kitchen is approx 10' x 17' with the almost no counter space on the right side to consider (bottom two boxes are floor to ceiling cabinets, and then the one above it is the fridge). There is a hood above the range (top centerish) which will have a light for that area. If it matters, the floor is a dark grey, cabinets are light grey, and back splash is a dark blue.

Red lines are led undercabinet lights being set up with our cabinet install. The blue circles are the planned location for can lights. Currently looking at using 65W equiv (13W actual), 5000k, 800L led retrofits. (http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?partNumber=525915-59179-DLS02-06A50D1E-WH-F1&langId=-1&storeId=10151&productId=50188785&catalogId=10051&cmRelshp=req&rel=nofollow&cId=PDIO1). Of the two circles on the left, the top is the sink and the bottom is a work station type area and both will be on different circuits than the rest of the lights.

Using the 35 lumen/sqft model - with approx 170 sqft we'd need 5950 lumens which works out to ~7.5 lights at 800 lumens. Any input regarding the type of lights and locations would be appreciated.
