Breaking a femur is quite serious and needs a fairly long time to heal...I broke mine when I was 12, ended up with screws holding it together and a full body cast for 4 months...Now that was a few years ago and things have come a very long way but, it is a terrible bone to break.... One good thing that happened with mine, I met the nicest young boy in the next room at the hospital and years later that same nice fellow became my husband....Married over 60 years, I guess it was a "good break"......

I bought a cutting that that was top heavy and was cut right at the leaves. I couldn't bare to cut the leaves off so I just pushed it into the soil and placed this gnome on it to hold it down lol it worked! If you don't have a gnome handy, you can always use a couple of rocks to hold it down ;-P

Yes. It is susceptible to rot, so I only water it when the potting media is almost completely dry, or if the plant starts getting that dehydrated appearance.

I grow many callistophylla and finlaysonii species/types, H. sp. Kalimantan, inculded. I also grow a few clemensiorum varieties. All three species are very closely related (finlaysonii, callistophylla, and clemensiorum). It is very, very difficult to distinguish most of them apart. There are a handful of exceptions (H. sp. Kalimantan, H. sp. Borneo Gunung Gaiding, and H. clemensiorum long leaves, being a few, as an example). Most are too much alike to identify, even in bloom. As a general rule (there are exceptions), Hoya finlaysonii's veins are not as contrasting as callistophylla's, and clemensiorum has really thick leaves, compared to finlaysonii and callistophylla. Here are a few of mine, for comparison (keep in mind tat leaf color will vary, depending upon light intensity): H. callistophylla (sp.
