New Lucky Bamboo, yellowing at stalk tip. Please Help!

Hi I just purchased this lucky bamboo a few hours ago... and with what comes with a new plant= research for me. (I seem to have the worst luck when buying a new plant, there is always some sort of obstacle for me to over come. If anyone remembers my Pachira woe from a few months ago)

I
could have sworn that I made sure the one I grabbed is healthy, and
really in comparison to the others, it was the great choice.

However, upon researching I find that yellowing in the stalk means it is more than likely that stalk is going to die.

I
have read information about a yellowing stalk and what you can do, but I
can't find anything for if the stalk is yellowing at the top... only
from the bottom and that you can just cut the yellow off, separate it
from the rest of the plant, and it will grow new roots... but as I said,
it is yellowing from the top. I have read about that you can cut the
tops off of a bamboo plant when you are propagating it, and then wax
seal where you cut... will this benefit my plant? Or is there something
else I can do.. Because this is obviously at the beginning stages of
yellowing and I was just curious if there was anything I can do to save
the stalk without the high ultimatum of just throwing out the stalk.
There were also yellow leaves/shoots coming from it, so I pinched those
off per many articles I read about yellowing leaves/shoots.

I am
in the process of cleansing some proper water for it, so it will be at
least 24-48 hours before I can change the water it is in. I intend to
leave it in water till it regains its health, then I intend to put it in
soil.

Thank you for any help, I really hope that there is something I can do with this stalk.
