sectional sofa help

we're in the market for a sectional for our basement media room

DH is tall and wants/needs a sofa at least 38" deep.

he wants "soft fabric". I want durable, can be wiped up b/c we have little kids.

we saw a Century Cornerstone sofa in a local shop, but for the configuration we were looking at, the cost is over $8k

I really don't want to spend much more than $4k-$5k

can you offer any suggestions? our dimensions are 38"-40" deep, can go up to 135" on one side and about 132" on the other.

also, what are general thoughts on recliners in sofas/sectionals?

we were thinking absolutely not, but then DH sat in one in a different store and felt it was "SO comfortable" that now he's thinking maybe we should get one.

I also want the straight talk on raymour and flanigan. I dismissed it out of hand as "junky" but several neighbors have suggested that they got sectionals there and think they're decent quality for the price. We did sit in one neighbor's R&F sofa and while I didn't really love the styling, the couch was very comfortable. However, I googled the make and see that it's made in China... thoughts?

thank you very much for any input you can offer.
