sectional sofa help
Comments (5)I have a purple (!) microsuede slip-covered sectional;about 10 years old. I was leery at purchase time b/c it was not at all what I'd imagined, but it has been wonderful. It cleans easily with a wet paper towel (until it's time to toss the slips into the washer), dog fur vacuums off easily, and it is soft and cozy but still stays tidy looking. The brand is Rowe (which does not have terrific online reviews ) but we've been very happy with it. The slips fit tightly and the purple color doesn't look crazy with my other furniture. The one problem is that the pieces do not fasten together well....See MoreCross posting after failure to identify in the WEED section...help!
Comments (6)Thank you! I assumed it was a weed because of how invasive the roots are. Also, the first year it found it visually interesting but honestly I can't get over the thorns all over it. It feels inhospitable to me. My personal preference would be to eradicate it with out chem...I wonder how easy that will be. Thanks so much for solving this mystery!...See MoreSofa vs sectional help!
Comments (3)Place the sofa & loveseat that you have now in an L shape like the sectional would be and live with it for several days. That will help you get the feel for walking around it. Are you getting a rug? Window treatments? I would lower the TV to eye level when sitting and get a wider console (at least 25% wider than the TV)....See MoreKicthen floor section help please.
Comments (5)There are some gorgeous "travertine look" porcelain tile products on the market. They have the striations of wood without the look of wood. You can have the colour/tone your husband wants without the fashion faux pas of real wood against fake wood. Obviously you are thinking tile for the kitchen. That means you can have any visual you want without having to work with "wood look". That means you have a wonderful world of possibilities open to you. Go ahead and look at stuff that is not in the wood visual. You will find thousands of options in hundreds of thousands of colours. One simple "trick of the trade" = match your counter top to your floor. It is a very simple way to get the kitchen to pull together. Have fun. Go ahead and google images of travertine porcelain tiles. I think you will be very happy with your options....See MoreMDLN
