don't have a picture but since the housing is white and so is the ceiling (or will be we're redoing it) it really doesn't standout out that much...ours is set near the back wall, just above the toilet...the only cautionary is cleaning it on a set schedule, as they do build up dirt and lint from towels, ect...

Heat lamps are still fairly widely used in restaurants. Although I haven't examined the legislation, since their main purpose is heating, not lighting, I expect they'll still be around in the future. Incandescent lamps make excellent heaters.

The Panasonic unit has a heating element, not a bulb. Something to keep in mind with the coming restrictions on incandescent bulbs, though, so far, infrared bulbs used for heating are not included--in the US, at least.

Radiation intensity drops off with the square of the distance so ceiling height makes a big difference. By the same token, if you can install a radiant panel in a wall, it will work much better than lamps in the ceiling.
