I haven't seen the oak finish, but our local Expo (also a Home Depot company) had some of the homedecorators vanities in their retail section towards the end. The white/ivory finishes were pretty bad for the fancier styles, but the wood finishes were mostly tolerable although not always really plausible, more like the kind of stuff my mom used to do many years ago with the antiquing kits they used to sell. Drawers don't have glides (just the wooden box that pulls out, resting on the frame itself), but they seemed to work okay. Not sure how they'd be after ten years in a steamy bathroom. For that price, I don't think you can go too far wrong. On the whole I would say they were about the same quality as the small vanities you can see in places like Kirklands.

I mean really, let's get the over hyped Super Bowl out of the way so we can get on to the real sport...BASEBALL! I'm a new real estate agent and one of my fascinations is seeing the inside of people's homes. I held an open house this weekend at a charming home. Talk about beautifully decorated! I so wish I could have taken photos just to show you guys the decor. (The RE photos don't show the decor like I'd like to show y'all.) After two hours of 'living' in the home, I was ready to go back to my more rumpled and comfortable home. lol I know the owners have 'staged' the home to be very, very nice looking and they are getting the right kinds of comments. I just know that for me and mine...we go for that 'creative' look. lol My goal, an ongoing, ever-ellusive goal, is to create a warm, inviting, and comfortable place to live that still delights my eye and artistic sense. That's possible, not perfect...and when it comes together, it is PERFECT. ;0)

Sign up for their email coupons. I missed the last 10% off on rugs by 6 hours. Called them and they gave it to me. They have great customer service. You could sign up and then call to ask for a discount. No harm in trying and they really do take care of you. Their discount requires you to sign up. If you aren't, when you click the discount it asks for your info. This isn't the same as the O club. Although I now wish I'd joined that long ago, have not had a product that I didn't like from them.

Mine aren't awe-inspiring, but this was how I had four of my "English" plates displayed above a book case in the dining room on base. These are the "Four Seasons" I cross-stitced in the mid-70s. They've hung in every house, apartment, or barracks room I've ever lived in. They looked better after I painted the walls a sage green.
