Help me choose a gas range and hood for my NYC kitchen remodel

I'm midway through a gut renovation of my 1 bedroom condo in Greenwich Village. I love to cook and I had my heart set on a pro-style all gas range, namely the Miele HR1124.

However, venting out is not an option. My building will not allow me to vent externally so I'd have to install a recirculating hood. The kitchen is open into the living/dining room. No window in the kitchen. There are windows in the living room, but they are about 20 feet away from the range. The condo board will not allow me to vent through a window anyway.

Would it be crazy to install a recirculating hood with the Miele range which puts out nearly 69K BTU's? Miele offers a pro-style range hood (DAR 1220) with a recirculating option, but it's very pricey. I don't mind spending the money on this hood if it would be a good solution though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I have to buy appliances within the next week or two.

We bought the Broan Elite 2 years ago and are happy with it. Performance is great, it's easy to clean. On high speeds it is very loud, but we don't run it that way very often. I usually use it on the lowest speed, and I find the level of noise manageable. For the price, it was a good choice for us.

Help me choose - Bertazzoni or Bosch gas range

Hi, Hi, I'm in the process of remodeling our kitchen. I narrowed down the 30" gas range stove selection between a Bertazzoni Master series and a Bosch 800 series. At this point I am looking at single fuel. My in-laws have Bertazzoni. I have cooked with it a little and it is a solid range. Easy to clean, very simple without unnecessery bells and whistles. Currently Bertazzoni includes a free range hood which helps. Anyone has experience with Bertazzoni range hood? I have no experience with Bosch besides the Bosch dishwasher we have and love btw. I cook and bake a lot, looked at Bosch's manual and it has some extra features like proof, but maybe that is just more parts to brake and extras that I will never use in the end. I'd suggest posting in appliances for more input. There are a few experts who hang out there and not here. And I'd suggest taking a serious look at an induction range. I made the switch from gas a couple of years ago after researching on the appliances forum and would not willingly go back. Induction has all the power, faster adjustments and is easier to clean. And importantly in your situation the range itself isn't putting anything into the air to be vented. Most induction ranges have different electrical requirements from a standard electric radiant range so you would need to check whether you can swing that in your building.

Upon closer inspection, I can see that the burner setup on the GE Cafe CGS995SELSS is closest to what I want, although the power burner is on the left. The right burners are 15K and 12K, so even though they're not exactly the same, they're closer than 15K and 9.5K as the Profile and Samsung models have. I'm reading more about the Cafe now, but I can't seem to determine whether the broiler is in the top or bottom oven - does anyone have experience with this model?
