Is a seam on a quartz countertop near the sink okay?

I got an L shape kitchen and my sink is in the corner and about 1.5 inch away there's a seam. The delivery guys came but I did not let them install it, the counter top company said they can not do anything as my counter is too long and there's a corner. my worry is water seepage in the future as that area gets frequently wet. I was told by the countertop company that is perfectly normal to have seam near the sink and some seams are even in the sink area. Will this be a problem in the future. please help, thanks
