I need some guidance please
Comments (7)Financial mismanagement in seniors (I realize that I am falling into the senior category) can be an early indicator of Alzheimer's disease or a silent stroke. Try and get hubby to see his doctor for an assessment. If he is declared incompetent I suspect that no contract that he signs can be legally enforced. Does anyone have power of attorney for him? I made certain that my daughter has a power of attorney for me. There is a history of Alzheimer's and of stroke in my family. As hubby is not being honest with you about family finances you should see a lawyer specializing in senior's issues. When I went through my divorce 20 years ago the first consultation with the lawyer was free. Check around and see what is available. If it appears that your hubby is not mentally fit be a bit cautious about getting him declared legally unfit. When my sister passed away my brother living in Ontario found that she was the only one who was a legal guardian for my mother. That brother being the good civil servant that he is went by the book and had my mother assessed as unfit. My mother's estate then got caught up in government bureaucracy and red tape. If the brother living in Ontario had got my mother to give him power of attorney things could have been much simpler for the family....See MoreI now need some guidance on great room (pics)
Comments (15)Pretty room, lots of potential. I like the new location of the chaise. I would be dying to get up on a ladder and add color to the tray ceiling. Do you have a foyer where the mirror and table could be placed? Neither has a purpose in the current location. And moving them elsewhere would spread that distinctive carved furniture around the house. Five matching pieces is a lot for one room. In their place you could put a chair and a floor lamp and a cabinet to house the TV components. Have you given thought to an end table and table lamp? I would think about adding a third and fourth color to the brown and beige in the room. An area rug maybe?...See MoreStarting out, need some guidance with lamps and other stuff.
Comments (6)Hi, Below you can see my setup. I gave up the other lamps, I figured I'll take the tested(somehwat) route amd go with them T8 lamps, so the two lights you see(there's two lamps there) are....F36w 865 t8 by Sylvania LuxLine plus, new generation. The distance from the plants is on average 30cm. Plants heights is 55cm from the ground. The setup is incomplete, as I plan to have the shelves in a letter C formation, so I can have like 2 or 4 of these lamps lighting them all. Also, how important are, the back thingies which reflect light back? I attach pictures of their current state and how it all looks. Also I have some flowers out. I would appreciate info and advice....See MoreI need some guidance on organization of Asian inspired yard.
Comments (3)I dunno... not sure what your vision is for final product. But current fwiw overall it looks a bit mishmash & too busy, too many things going on at once for a relatively tight space. It doesn't look anywhere "peaceful/inviting" as I'd expect any garden should be. You're right, the multiple pathways do nothing to help the confusion. The square double row is at odd location/purpose & is a distraction to the eye, best removed... can't you access both doors via 1 curved path? Don't need a shortcut that short ;) clumpy grass looks distracting too. Consider lower profile groundcover, there's some nice tiny succulents that grow low & fast too if you don't want to mow nor water....See Moredigdirt2
