Ho Cath, it only looks tidy cos no-one is in it! 30 seconds after the whirlwind of children, dogs, DOGS (one is gigantic),cats and my own messy self, there is barely a surface left without teacups, biscuits, newspapers and books,dog flowers, old bikes and the astounding number of special seating things for a child who has the smallest ass in the house yet requires at least 6 different immense chairs. For the non-posters among us, it has been an impenetrable mystery to me and every year has been frustrating because I simply forget what is in the garden (well, more the allotment which is bigger and really is messy). Digital cameras are (I think) fairly easy to use but I have come to the conclusion that being given someone else's old one is a bad mistake - there is always a crucial component missing and hardly ever a manual of use. I am going to buy a new (cheap) one and we can all learn together - that is one of the really good things about this forum. Allowances will be made for non-techies. I think we could all agree to be online at roughly the same time and try to encourage each other through the process. Dont feel bad about not being able to do it - it is not something you can work out intuitively, at least those of us who have not worked with PCs - we need the step by step guidance of someone with patience (probably not me, then) but we owe it to ourselves to make our garden images visible at any time of year, just for our own pleasure....and if we get to share, then that is brilliant.

Barbara, Thanks! I bet in less than 6 months, every space on every shelf will be full. Then I will have to stop adopting and parenting any new kids. I measured the very top shelf where the propogating is going on - its 7 inches from plant to bulb. The middle shelf (where I shared the close up) is 6 inches between plants and bulbs. I'm only 10 inches on the 3rd shelf where the standards are. I'll have to figure out how to lower that shelf...or raise it so I can add more minis and then put all my standards on the bottom, LOL. It's just a matter of loosening the screw and moving the frame for the 3rd shelf. It will really be cool to compare this week with what it looks like in 6 months. Dora

Perry--we must've been posting at the same time. Yes, that is "our" brick wall...and the drystacked looking wall will stay... my contractor says he can tie into it--and support it from behind--turns out NONE of the walls in this sectionof the yard had proper footers. Thank goodness the BIG retaining wall (11+ft tall) on the other side of the house was constructed at a different time--and Scott (my contractor) THINKS was built properly. (If only because it isn't showing any signs of leaning/decay!) As you can see--THIS wall will have a proper footing. And they will be weaving rebar in and out of the uprights, and adding more, as the wall gets taller...If we ever get the *&^#$% stone. FEAR NOT! Now that I've figured out how to imbed pics--I will post a few as progress dictates. melanie

Hi Judith, Love your pink acccessories! If you scroll down to the bottom of this thread page, there is a test forum where you can practice. Its in the "Instructions" area. There were several excellent posts about how to insert photos and links to albums. Its either in the FAQ area, or if you do a SEARCH, I'm sure you will find something. P.S. Once you find the instructions, its helpful to make a copy in a document somewhere for reference.
