GardenWeb has joined Houzz
Comments (11)Here's the message I received. We've got some exciting news to share with you. Last week, GardenWeb joined the Houzz family. The GardenWeb and Houzz communities have a lot in common with regard to our shared passion for our homes and gardens and the overwhelmingly positive experience we try to provide our members. You may even belong to both GardenWeb and Houzz already! You may have some questions about what to expect in the coming weeks, so we wanted to share some preliminary information with you. Rest assured, it is very important to us to maintain the incredible community you have been a part of creating over the years. We will: Preserve GardenWeb forums - We love the GardenWeb community and we want it to remain strong and vibrant. Respect your Privacy - Houzz does not and will not share your contact information with any advertisers. Next week we'll be in touch with more information and an email to confirm your GardenWeb account, but in the meantime, if you have feedback, questions, or concerns please don't hesitate to email us at feedback@gardenweb.com. We would love to hear from you. The GardenWeb and Houzz Teams Privacy Policy © 2015 Houzz Inc. Comments (7)It might effectively be "extinct". My idea/vision is, that it should be possible to breed a copy of it from "Ambiance" x "Flamenco Queen" - both of which are readily available. Be aware that you can only pollinate "Ambiance" - THEIR pollen has repeatedly proven to be sterile. And WHEN you pollinate on "Ambiance" then you must pollinate as many flowers as possible, since the count of VIABLE seed per seed pod is low, it is always below 25, and the germination rate of the selected seed will be around 50%....See MoreHow were you helped by gardenweb/houzz?
Comments (38)I found this Decorating part of GW via its Kitchens. Forum. As we were starting to plan our total kitchen gut and remodel, the folks on the Kitchens were a huge fountain of information and advice. Everything from how and what to do to set up a good, working temporary kitchen, to opinions on granite vs Silestone and other counter choices, appliances, andvwhere to find the best hardware for my new cabs online. I learned about Silgranit kitchen sinks, ordered one at the recommended online place. . . and will be forever grateful for that! Gosh, I love that sink!!! I saved so much money and stress by accessing Kitchens! And then one final bit of advice on how to keep your sanity through it all: a glass or three of wine every evening (LOL)! From there, I found our wonderful GW decorating forum....See MoreDid Houzz just get rid of our GardenWeb names?
Comments (11)I think what happened is that at least for my account, the username is no longer relevant. They are using your account name, instead. I can tell because now all my posts have the caps and spaces that my username does not have. When I looked at a post I started that I was very familiar with, so that I knew whose comments were there, no one else appeared to have a username change like I experienced....See MoreLavender Lass
