Comments (8)We love the display and wavetouch controls. Ours is mounted undercounter, but the controls are still very easy to see and use, the writing on the readout is very large, for example the word convection is about an inch long, so I can read it without my glasses. See the post about the GE oven with the hard to read display, so mounting under counter a good easy to use touch panel is a must, as are the fully gliding out racks. The oven is easy to use. All the controls for the oven are LARGE Circles, about an inch. Lets say you want to "Convection bake" (1) Touch convection bake circle, it beeps and blinks. (2) Enter the temp (we use 350) so 3, 5, 0. (3) Touch Start. DONE!!! Now lets get a lil fancier and preheat the oven, OK? (1) Touch the preheat circle. (2) Enter the Temp (3) Touch Start (4) Oven will beep when it has reached preheat temp, if you missed it, No worries, the display on mine shows Dashes, until it reaches preheat, then the display shows the temp, so all I gotta do is look for numbers instead of dashes to know the preheat is done. Mine is a 2006 model, I believe the newer models actuall show the actual temp as the oven preheats, Maybe CJ can comment as her oven is a newer model than mine. Anyway, I'm an Old F*** and I have no problem seeing and operating the oven controls, even thou it's below counter. Comments (13)I would rather read reviews for the three companies to see how their furniture has held up. Of the three, Smith Brothers would be my choice based on what I have read about them over the years. Comments (15)@Jerrod....I have my Miele Little Giant washer programmed to Cold fill (actually, I even turned the hot water valve to OFF). So, my washer fills with tap cold and then gradually heats to the Temp I have set (Little Giant cycles are via exact temps...nothing says warm, cold, hot, etc...). So, I'm thinking I am getting optimal results in regards to temps working with enzymes and then ramping up to my "hot" set temp! I LOVE this washer more each day. In the past, after 6 months or a year with an appliance, I would be looking & cruising new models ;) But....I don't think I would ever want to be without my LiGi. I would sell it for an OctoPlus though. Just sayin' LOL...See MoreCalorie Counting vs WW vs IF
Comments (54)I was lucky with my metabolism until my mid 30's, then started picking up some extra pounds. By the time I'd gained 15 pounds, I realized I needed to to something, to not see my weight continue to rise. Around that time Dolly Parton, who'd become noticeably slimmer, was responding to interviewers, about how she'd lost the weight. She said that she still ate everything she always did, but in smaller portions, and that alone enabled her to lose the extra 25 pounds and keep it off. So anything I ate, I just downsized my portion from what I would have normally eaten. Within 2 months I'd dropped the 15 spare pounds, and did not want to lose any more, so I simply increased portion size slightly, to maintain my goal weight, but not lose any more. That has worked for me for the last 30 years, as I've only fluctuated a few pounds. I've never exercised formally, but having been an active SAHM, then working at a pre-school Daycare, and now watching my pre-school grandchildren every other day, no doubt is equivalent to formal exercise, lol. Obviously it wouldn't be good if one has a tendency toward unhealthy food, and just cuts down portion sizes. Sure, they might lose a bit of weight, but would still be eating unhealthy. I'd always eaten a pretty good balance, so just downsizing portions was my key to keeping belly fat at bay. If you tend to eat healthy, and do get some kind of exercise (formal or just constantly up and about) but still need to drop some spare weight, perhaps more consideration to portion size, will do the job!...See MoreRelated Professionals
