Window valance advice

I ordered JC Penneys Frontenac window valance for my dinging room. I ordered 2 at 48 inches each which gives me 96 inches of width to work with. The valances are supposed to be flat and not bunched up. The width of my window from the edge of the white molding is 98 inches. If I put the valance on a rod with a finial the valance will still not cover the molding on the window. Ordering a third valance will give me too much material as it is supposed to be a flat valance. Does it matter if the molding shows a little on either side of the window? Maybe it won't be too noticable and it could still look nice anyway and it won't look like it should be a wider valance. I really like this valance. What would you do?
