Iron removing well water

ilmbg

I just bought a rehabbed house with a new well.
There is much iron in the water- the water has been run minimally- flush toilet a few times, rinse out a few things like paintbrushes....
When I had a new well 20 years ago at a different residence, I was told to run the water a full day from the spigot that was farthest from the house, letting the water drain from the hose away from the house. It helped tremendously.
I will do so again but do not want to risk damaging new toilets, tubs, sinks etc.
I saw a 'birmed' iron remover system, and also 'Teminox' system.
Can anyone tell me if either of these systems is good? They seem to be different types.
Thank you. Any other types that you think are good I will look in to also.
