We have a drawer MW, and we love it! The control panel is angled so that it's easily seen from above, and it takes very little bending to put something in or out of it, because the drawer comes out to you. A regular MW would need stooping and bending to put things in and out. It's also really nice to be able to stir things from above without removing the dish from the MW. I am a fabricator. catheliz - you are right in expecting the 2 corners to be the same. this is a mistake by the fabricator and they seem to be acknowledging it. it's an easy mistake to make. we've done it ourselves. A good fabricator can turn the radiused corner into a 90 degree inside corner. if the edge has a complex shape like Ogee or FV30 it would take an exceptionally good fabricator to make the corner look right. if it a shape like a flat or simple radius then it's very do-able. there will be dust and water but if the fabricator takes adequate care the mess should be contained to a very small area. my 2 cents.

My question is how does Yale know about service issues? After the sale, a consumer would contact the MFG support line and a tech sent out. I doubt they would have anything to do with service. That said, it stands to reason that a microwave drawer would have more reliability issues than a standard microwave. After all, it's opening/closing mechanism involves a motor, gears, and sensors. By sensors I'm talking you just nudge it to close and it'll start closing. It also knows when the door is not fully closed.

The deflector is used when doing a flush installation. From the drawing it appears that the deflector is installed correctly. The problem might be with the depth of your overhang. I have a 3/4" overhang with my inset cabinets.
