They charge$4.95 per tree so expect a small tree rither from seed or cutting. It should do fine as long as it comes alive and in fesonably good shape. They grow fast. Here is my 2 year old sweetlee tangerine tree from seed.

Last one. I haven't had them very long.

This is what I used to make them grow fast. After 1 winter they were all to big. The red X marks the danger zone from light bulb heat. This worked on all my trees. my tallest trees took 3 aluminum foil lined bottomless buckets stacked to support the 4 light holding bucket. Your trees will grow like weeds.

My currant setup with Hardy Chicago figs. The 3 tall figs are 3 months old and the 3 short buckets are 3 weeks old. It works realy nice.

Well, I doubt you'll get many posts about this company, because this would not be a typical online source for serious citrus growers. And, I can see you have already discovered Garden Watchdog and their rating of this company, along with the parent company, Burgess Seed. So, I think you probably have your answer you're after. I believe the old adage, "You get what you pay for", would apply, here. If you're serious about growing indoor container citrus, you might want to start with a reputable company that provides really outstanding plants, and cultivars that grow some really excellent tasting fruits. There are several out there, one of the best known would be Four Winds Growers. Of course, you will pay more, but then again, refer to the adage.

Unfortunately I don't have room for all that stuff. Well these are what I got so have to just work with them. They all are having new growth at the moment I also had 2 flowers already but they fell off.

Your trees are alive. You will do fine with them. Just follow the 5-11 formula or equivalent. At this point there is no need for much pricier trees. Yours will grow like weeds in a setup like mine.

What variety do you have. I looked up their trees and I think they had 4 choices. My Meyer lemon is just a rooted cutting. Container trees are not as in need to be grafted unless they are kumquat trees.

Stick with them and you will be happy.

I have a meyer lemon calamondin orange but no room for them buckets and stuff unfortunately but started watering with my dirty frog water when I do a water change they seem to like it all 3 have new growth.

Forgot the last one is a Otaheite orange? And a dancy tangerine.

Otaheite lime (sometimes referred to as Otaheite orange) is an insipid citrus not considered an "orange". It is in the same family as the Rangpur Lime, and is considered a "sweet" version of this cultivar. It is mainly grown for its ornamental value, and not for its fruit, which is poor at best. They make pretty ornamental houseplants if you can deal with all the issues of growing indoor citrus, so as long as you're okay with growing it for its foliage and smally pretty orange (but tasteless) fruits, that's what you have.

I have eaten an Otaheite orange. I found it very pleasant. You can juice it for a healthy pure lime aid. with no sugar added or juice diluted. They are excellent thirst quencher in hot weather. Further more it takes a lot less sunlight to produce low sugar fruits.

Otaheite lime is insipid, tastes like watered down lemonade. Very similar to Persian lime, also very insipid. I do not care for that particular citrus taste, most folks in the USA do not. It is popular in the middle east, and mainly grown there and also in India. I prefer my citrus rich and flavorful.

Your Meyer lemon is a great cultivar. Not quite as sour as a traditional lemon, very juicy, and makes wonderful lemonade, and is nice to cook with. I also make a fantastic limoncello from it. It is a worthwhile cultivar. Dancy mandarin is a decently good mandarin. I think there are better cultivars, and if I had to pick just one mandarin, this would not be my first choice, but, it is certainly a good mandarin, and tastes very nice, just a little seedy.

Everything I have read on the sweet lime tells me you will be very happy with it. Save the sweet tasty oranges for the grocery store and grow those you can't buy anywhere to be grown at home. After your orange trees gets some size I would like to ask if you can send me a couple of 6 inch twigs I could root for myself.

Figs are even easier to grow and at $7.00 / pound they are worth it. That is if you can even find them. I could swap hardy chicago fig twigs form your sweet lime tree.

Cool thanks I just got the calamondin and Meyer lemon in July and the otaheite and fancy in October. That would be cool I wish I had more window space so I could get more lol.

Figs go dormant and don't need window space. Just bring them out of dormancy about 2 months earlier than last frost and let the first frost in fall put them into dormancy. A fig tree in a 5 gallon bucket can produce 25 to 75 figs a year. Like any containerized tree, You will get treats but no volume production unless you go to the 30 gallon containers I am using. They are very hard to move.
