some random gardens I found surfing...
Comments (3)Wow! Searching for this thread this morning I found several that I'd somehow missed. Grrr. How do they get dropped to pg 2 and 3 without me seeing them? Well, here is another wonderful garden I found this morning while looking for photos of Asiatic lilies. This is a fella in Ohio named Kent, a Medical Physicist in Radiological Sciences (!), gardener, and photographer. He specilizes in Roses but has so much more, too. It goes without saying that his photos are breathtaking. Be sure to take a peek at the pages of paintings other people have done using his photos as inspiration! He also has some great info pages, he discusses growing roses with shade, and I was fascinated with the info on aphids. http://w3.goodnews.net/~kkrugh/index.html There must be several hundred pages here! Just on his page of photos he's taken in other's gardens he goes to; San Diego, Woodside, San Jose, El Dorado, Sebastapol, Berkley, Sacramento, Van Nuys, and San Marino, CA; Chicago, IL; Richmond, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg, Staunton, and Charlottesville, VA; Lakeland, FL; Blaine, TN; Wooster, OH; Stanwood, WA; Longwood Botanical Gardens, PA; Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, MA; Greece; and Kew, England. I'm bookmarking this one to come back to and WALLOW in this winter when my garden offers little comfort. Comments (8)As always, I've butchered the English language. This is not my yard, we were visitors on a small charity garden tour. Dear Lovetogarden, I'm from Massachusetts and it is a delight to learn about new plants, micro-climates, freezes, too much rain, not enough rain, and hot hot sun, oh my! Last winter was spent tearing things out, this winter I've truly had a lot of fun planting all kinds of things. I'm happy with my choice of Sarasota, however only Key West does not get an occasional frost. You can grow anything in Florida, as long as it is in a pot you lug in on cold nights. And the further away from the coast you go the larger your land, however, it's colder away from the water. Good luck, CB...See MoreRandom photos from this week
Comments (14)Oh how I wish that my garden looked like yours! Your garden is so amazing looking. I love it. You can tell you put a lot of hard work into it. Love the colour of No Count Blues. Your Maid Of Orange Iris looks to be a lot taller than mine is. The colour of the Sea Holly really stands out. Love that last shot. Looks like a nice place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. I could see myself sitting out there for hours. Beautiful!...See Morerandom photos
