You want some comments...I can give you some...lol First off, the garden has only become "mine" in the past few years. It was my dads space and under his total control for eons. The option was his way. It was his lab. Unfortunately age caught up with him and the garden did not wait for him to come tend to it. About 7-8 years ago, my parents realized they had reached a point that they had to ask for help and clear it out some. You might think I am joking, but I am pretty sure I took at least 100 trips to the dump over the past years. It was quite a day when we could look through the garden and see something, other than a green wall. Because we, mom and I, were not allowed to do much more than follow orders in the garden, following a schedule is new! We have 3 books, 2 same author with an updated version, on just what to do each month. One stays with mom and the other two pretty much live on my bedside table. No, I don't get too stressed when I miss what I am supposed to have done in a month. But I do try and think about how those "suggestions" will help my efforts in the garden. We have a big space with a mix of old and neglected and new needing extra attention. Having a book with what needs to be done helps me think about how to use my time in a way to make best use of my time. I gave my self a "deadline" of getting certain things done in the garden, it was the end of March, half way through April and I am getting close to the goal....lol While not the garden of my dads dreams, we have turned it in to an incredible garden. I think even he would appreciate the use and utility we are getting-although he would have probably planted more trees and fewer roses.... He passed a few years back, before we really tacked the lower part of the yard. But we both know he would have sat in one of the new areas and loved to supervise the goings on in the main garden.

Yeah, when I hear some of the suggestions on water saving like - only do full loads of dishes and laundry, don't let the water run while brushing teeth, etc. I think - "but we already do all that". We don't water grass or use the hose to wash the sidewalk. We have a front load washing machine and low flush toilets. I do water my garden, but only enough to keep it alive. I hardly ever wash my car, drought or no drought. I even saw a suggestion to take 10 minute showers instead of 20 minute showers. Goodness, I almost never spend even 10 minutes in the shower. I can't understand it when people act like it's a hardship that they can only water their lawn three days a week. I would never use that much water on grass with the exception of a brief period when establishing a new lawn. I don't think we could cut our water use by 50 percent on a regular basis because we are already pretty frugal. Knowing you will have to spend thousands to drill a new well if you run the one you have dry is a pretty good incentive. Dana

IN answer to your question Yes I just got an LG convection oven and to bake on it using convection is worthless. I was watching TV a cooking show and they talked about LG and the suggestion to bake was not to use the convection just use bake as your cookies and cakes do not turn brown or golden using convection. To roast is great but that is it. The other thing they mentioned is NEVER let suger fall on the top as it will burn threw the glass. WIPE it off right away. I bought the range and fridge and dishwasher and microwave and washer dryer from LG. The only problem and it is a major one is the dishwasher NEVER buy that product from LG as it has major problems. The dishwaster less than a year old and I am having the third motor put into it. From the first day they installed it the motor made noise and could not hear yourself talk. The tec man came in and told me the motor is defective and must be replaced. IT took over 2 months to have the motor replaced as there is a back order on dishwasher motors from LG because of the problem. The second motor was installed and tested and the noise was worst and now it whistles like a bird. I am now waiting for the motor to come in again god knows how long it will take as this will be the third motor in less than a year. I wish I have not bought this dishwasher from the Brick as the sales person from the brick told me it was a good product and was so quiet. I am sure the salesperson is deaf and does not know what he is talking about. The other problem is you have to use gel and not powder soap as with powder will not work and end up as a lump in your machine. Do not expcet the machine to dry your dishes as you will have to remove the water from them when you finished washing your dishes. I am dissappointed in LG for not fixing the problems with there dishwasher as the other products are good.

I hate mine. ive cooked on mine 3 times a day most days for about 2 years. Boiling water, soup, etc is not the problem unless you accidently boil something over — like the outmeal. Bigger problems are the skillets heat unevenly and it often shuts itself off. Try cooking an omlet and the middle is getting all toasty while the edges are still runny. even preheating the skillet does not completely solve this. When creating big family dinners with 4 burners out of my 5 are in use it often kickes off at a crucial moment in the dinner prep. I have to stop everything, remove all pans, clean the top, dry it and go again. i often dont see right away that all burners have kicked off for no apparent reason. All burners kick off at once. I bought expensive AllClad induction pans because I thought that might help and they’ve now all warped so that makes them cook even more unevenly. i believe they can’t take the uneven intense heat. Since I complained about the warped pans to my family I received another set of all clad non stick induction skillets for xmas and vowed not to heat them over medium. 4 months later they too are warped. I dream of the day i can replace my induction cooktop with either gas or electric. I’ve used both a lot and they get the job done a lot better. Mine is a Schott Ceran brand.
