Hi Zeffy - I'm glad you took the time to catch us up on your life, I've been wondering. In fact I have a Thanksgiving card in front of me on my desk with your name on it and cannot find your street address! So now you know how cluttered my office is, because I know it's here somewhere, just not in my email address book under residence, or my regular address book either. I'm so happy you are feeling better - it doesn't sound perfect but better is good if it's letting you enjoy some things again. And I love the idea of two turkeys to cut down on your work Thanksgiving Day (read your other post on the day-before gravy). I'm the gravy maker in our family and will cook that at my Sis's house; last year my brother put the turkey in a roaster in his Traeger grill (uses wood pellets) at Christmas and the bird was great but I had a heck of a time with the gravy, the drippings had a distinct smokey taste that I didn't like and I couldn't find anything to add to diminish the smoke flavor. Thought I might roast some hind quarters or something ahead of time and freeze drippings to take this Christmas on the chance he does that again :) Maybe I'll even just roast a small bird for leftovers and use the juices from that. I think Robyn can count on her children seeing the divorce differently when given some time to mature and get used to the change. It would be nice if it was sooner, but if she's patient I'm convinced they'll come around. When my sister and her husband divorced, to her credit she never once said anything critical about him to her kids and they blamed her for his unhappiness and their own. Once grown, they came to understand on their own and to trust her completely while with their dad, they realized (finally) they were always trying to please him enough to 'deserve' his love. In fact, in court (huge battle over custody) the judge even said HE trusted her enough to put the kids ahead of her own feelings and make sure they had quality time with their dad, he didn't believe the same to be true of her ex, told him that, and she was given full custody. Celeste, I hope you have a lovely holiday too - what a difference a year makes! I think you have an angel on your shoulder watching the loving care you give your mother - that mother who looks so content in the pictures you've shared.

Kay - I really like Wheel of Time. I think the colors in my photo are a little off. I darkened it trying to get the peach/orange petal color right. In doing so, I make the eye color look more gray than purple. Roxanna - I got August Cherry in a trade. But I know where you can buy it. Harmon Hill Farm has the lowest price, and it's also available at Partridge Hill Gardens. Both have online websites. Nate - The scape on my Wheel of Time has four-way branching and 22 or 23 buds, so I'm a happy camper. The flower doesn't seem to open fully here until later in the morning. Here's the recipe for cottage cheese daughter has! She got it from the program 'Good Eats'! She and her two boys, ages 4 and 5 love that show! They tape them and the boys beg her to play them over and over. They've really gotten interested in cooking, themselves and even use play dough to reinact the shows! She's letting them help her alot now! Quick Cottage Cheese 1 gallon pasteurized skim milk 3/4 cup white vinegar 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt 1/2 cup half-and half-or heavy cream Pour the skim milk into a large saucepan and place over medium heat. Heat to 120 degrees F. Remove from the heat and gently pour in the vinegar. Stir slowly for 1 to 2 minutes. The curd will separate from the whey. Cover and allow to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pour the mixture into a colander lined with a tea towel and allow to sit and drain for 5 minutes. Gather up the edges of the cloth and rinse under cold water for 3 to 5 minutes or until the curd is completely cooled, squeezing and moving the mixture the whole time. Once cooled, squeeze as dry as possible and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add the salt and stir to combine, breaking up the curd into bite-size pieces as you go. If ready to serve immediately, stir in the half-and-half or heavy cream. If not, transfer to a sealable container and place in the refrigerator. Add the half and half or heavy cream just prior to serving. Oh, and her hubby (our SIL) is here with the boys right now, having watched Ohio State and Illinois (boo hoo--OSU lost) and he says it's really good and not gritty at all, when she makes it!

That is good idea mxyplx. Thanks. I have the feeling that these lock sets only come with one socket key though, and a dup would still have to be custom made. I will definately check to see if what you suggest can be done. I'm really not very knowledgeable on autos and am wondering if the lock sets are part of the wheel set and lock and keys are never sold separately though. Going to a machine shop to have one made would be too costly I am sure. Gary__, yes, the whole car was gone over with a fine tooth comb looking for a hidden key, when I was in the midst of the dilemma. Believe me. I also had called tire stores and custom shops and every one said they could not help me and that I had to locate the custom shop that put the wheels on. I live outside of a HUGE city and there are a ton of custom shops and I know of at least three who do not even list in the phone book or have a sign on the building, so I am sure there are lots of "underground" custom shops around that could have been the one that put the wheels on. It would be a needle in a haystack. You're right, I am sure I am not the only person who has gone through this so I am puzzled as to why they make it so difficult. I did a lot of checking and everyone said that there was NO WAY to get the wheels off without destoying the wheels and possibley causing damage to the auto. Supposedly the wheels I have are a very unusual type. By coincidence, the day of the flat tire, I saw that my neighbor had their son visiting, and he is a race car driver and does auto work. I went over and asked him and HE even told me the same thing and he would have no reason give me false info as it would not benefit him in the least to do so. I asked the dealership to contact the previous owner and they told me "No" but I am wondering if that is how they got the key they gave me?. I am also thinking that the missing key may be the reason the orig owner sold the car in the first place. The tire that went flat was always going low on me ever since I got it. Every time I check the air on the tires it was always down to about 20lbs. The good thing is the orig problem has been solved, but I am a cautious person and want an extra key. I am sure I am not the only person who has gone through this. I am relieved that the dealership took responsibility for the situtation and cannot imagine what the whole thing cost to resolve dollar-wise.
