Thanks. I wasn't sure how long the annual poppies bloom. I cut of the seed pod today to see if more blooms come. I noticed two other blooms on there way. I have poppies papaver? that are bright orange and bloom for a couple of weeks. They are wonderful but once they are done blooming they are done and the whole plant dies off. Here is a pic of them. I will try to save some seeds of the poppies ooh la la. The white one was very pretty.

I am with BorS on never hearing about that cultivar, but then again they are coming out with new ones all the time. Based on the picture on COTW it looks similar to quite a few other type II clematis already on the market although it does appear only to grow to 1-1.5 meters tall which makes it different than the other lookalike type IIs out there. I was going to guess Flemish Sky but I went out and looked. It does have 8 vein pair, similar leaf shape and form but it has some purple speckling on the petioles as well. Just not as much of the purple as Deane's Dream. Andrew Jackson would be quite a stretch.

Kathy, now people use the old sewing machines as lamp tables or whatever in the house. I learned to sew on my grandmother's old treadle machine so people like them for the sake of nostalgia, plus "shabby chic" in the in thing now like the old piece below at Ann's place.
