I don't know. How about just calling it Home? Norse mythology is a step child compared to Greek and Roman mythology. The only colleges that I know that offer Norse mythology as a class are in Wisconsin and Minnesota. There are plenty of other mythologies out there; we, in our culture, are biased to the Meditteranian based myths.

Thanks guys.... I agree with bboy and susanc about it being a Campsis. I looked at some other photos of the Eccremocarpus and the leaves don't look anything like what I have. I have seen some photos of larger Campsis and the leaves are very much like what I have but larger (on a larger plant). And when I first got the plant there were leaves all over the plant but I brought it indoors (air conditioned) and not in full sun light and the leaves browned and fell off. I then put it back outside in full sun light and the leaves are coming back but are growing in groups. Okay let's say it's a Campsis; do I leave it in the pot or plant it in the ground before the frost gets here? And if I leave it in the pot do I bring it indoors or just leave it outside?

Yes. I purchased an EarthCare 7x7 portable greenhouse with a plastic cover in Feb 2012. It lasted through September 2012-nine months. I was excited when I got this greenhouse. It is just the right size for my small backyard. The first thing we noticed is that the plastic cover is too small for the frame. We thought it might stretch out. It didn't. Then, after putting it up and securing it with the small pegs that are provided, it blew over within the first 48 hours (not even that big of a wind). One of the legs broke in half and another bent in half. Luckily, my husband is handy with fixing stuff, so he fixed the legs better than new. We put it back up with massive stakes at each corner. All seemed well until I went into the greenhouse about 2 weeks ago, and everything in there was covered with small things that looked like fish scales. I couldn't figure out what they were for a while, and then it dawned on me to look up at the roof. Almost every small plastic "window" between the green mesh was empty. I now have a SCREEN house with very large mesh, and I'm wondering if I can salvage it anyway. The plastic cover is shot. This is an unacceptably short life span for this greenhouse. I contacted the company (their website states that there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee), and got a rather rude reply, and the customer service rep didn't even bother to use capital letters in their response. I filed a complaint with the BBB. The issue still isn't resolved. I DO NOT recommend this company!

Of course, being a good steward of our reasources, such as by planting grasses that need less water and fertilzer is good. But, if global warming is happening and threatening to push us in to a whole different kind of weather epoch, I sure wouldn't have any problem growing a lighter shade of grass to to try to help mother nature balance out the higher temps that may be resulting from all the greenhouse gasses our industrial age has been pumping in to the atmosphere. While day to day temps, even a whole season can't be taken as indicators of changes in world wide changes, I was working outside yesterday and had to come in and put on a short sleeved shirt because it was so hot. An unheard of thing in 30 years of living in Amarillo, Texas. Also, when things like sheet ice at the poles start disapperaing, as we can see and measure, it becomes a little more difficult to stick our heads in the sand and say nothing is happening. Now, I agree we may not know for sure, sure, that man is "causing" it. It could be part of mother nature's big long term cycles. But, even then, its probably best for us to do what we can to balance the climate out, say with little things that might add up, like more reflective grasses growing in millions of yards around the country. Science tells us it is a fact that "nature" led to periods of weather that had high temps and mega-droughts in the past. Weather patterns that were non-man made that helped kill off a majority of species in the past. Helping mother nature keep things balanced, regardless of the cause, might be a pretty wise investment for us to make in our own well being.
