Its good that someone has probably identified it so you can care for it as it should be. I had a similar experience with a 'found' bulb...in Florida while walking near out condo, it was on the sidewalk and wanting to keep the place clean I pick it up. Having nowhere to throw it I put it in my pocket, then forgot about it. I brought it home in the pocket and discovered it while putting things away...then I made the mistake of planting it. A horror movie could have been made, this thing took off like h*ll and didn't stop. I finally was able to dig enough of it out and Roundup did the rest. I later saw this same bulb growing in the County Park engulfing a tree--literally burying it in its foliage. They speak of the plant that ate America...Kujo...or something like that, but this was a monster from Hades.

Thanks for help, yea I pretty much been following what has been advised to me in this post, I also have another Meltonia that I purchased at trader joes. The other one is red color flower with yellow coloration inside, that one I had separated in 2 different plants and its in same exact condition as this white flower Meltonia I was worried if it might have been some sort of an illness such as a parasite or fungus.. And as I mentioned above it is now repotted into small plastic orchid pot.

Well what a great report from you, pitimpinai!! The last I heard you were still very low in energy and still on a ton of medication and little appetite, and listen to you, helping the neighbor till up a lawn! LOL What a nice neighbor you were to plant tomatoes and Dahlias. :-) I am happy to hear that you've also benefited from a shorter work day. Great that you had all that time off saved up. I bet you really needed it to get your energy back. We have gotten pretty much back to what is normal for us here. The weather has been stupendous in the past month! I have never seen the cover crop in the veggie beds so high. We've also gotten all the leaves mowed and collected in bins, ours and three neighbors. [g] We have gotten somewhat cleaned up for the year in the garden, but I keep adding to my list of what I want to get done before the weather turns. Still have a small amount of bulbs to plant and three shrubs to get in the ground, some pots to clean and put away and that will just about do it. I am actually looking forward to a break from the garden. Not that we don't get outside and enjoy it, but it's nice this time of year, to focus on other things. During the gardening season, the garden seems to push out other priorities. [g] I enjoy the winter garden and by the time spring comes, I am just itching to get back to a new growing season. Glad you are able to enjoy gardening again and hope you stay well this winter! :-)

Hi folks, I took all of the wonderful information I was given and used it well. I took Stella out of her cramped condo and cut off 30% of her root ball. I then cut wedges into four sides of the root ball. I put Stella in a pot just slightly larger than her original pot with fresh potting mix in bottom and around sides. I used 3 cups of BioTone Starter Plus mixed into the potting mix. I watered and waited. I figured she would live or die. Well thanks to you good folks Stella is alive and beginning to thrive. She now has new leaf clusters on each of the old leaf cluster points. I will post updated photo soon. Now mind you Stella will not win any robust fig tree contest this year but she is 'in training'. Now for the final question - Will Stella survive if I put her in the ground in September?? Sorry to keep talking about this fig tree like a person but it has been quite an experience - I'm a total newbie at this. DL
