Hmm. Missing pages?

I have just noticed that the Powers That Be have deleted twenty or so pages of older posts. Is it just my computer or is it really true?

I used to love going through the old posts, so if it's true, I will miss them.

Wow, you're right! I have only 5 pages of threads showing at the moment. I'm also getting logged off repeatedly, so maybe there are gremlins at work. I hope the pages return, I also like to look through the occasional older post.

Same here, so I checked the music and movie sites and they appear to have the full list while the 'art' one has about 14 pages and now seems full of adds for furniture.
Is it just me or do you find if you click on to one of the other sites you have to re-register to get back to RP and sometimes double check and have to do it twice? It all seems so over-cautious.

I got into it now, but am sure I will have trouble next time I try. It's the part that shows all of these forums, but in their own columns, such as under Community it has The Kitchen Table and Get Togethers, etc. It's when I first open up the garden web that it happens. Of course, I don't shut it down the rest of the day! Arapaho, Thank you! I am pleased and a little surprised that people like the chandy, which I view as unconventional for the room. A, and K If I switched spots, then, upon entering the front door, one would be faced with the back of the sofa. I always feel that closes off a room.

@practigal, Many states have additional provisions and regulation protecting consumers from unfair & deceptive practices from Home & Auto Insurers. It's my firm belief that if a Consumer burns down their house, no matter what the reason (besides arson) they are entitled to a fair claim if their policy is active. I think many state regulators would also agree with me. With that said.. I can tell you that 99.7% of American Consumers never read their Manuals, nor do they read their policies. I can guarantee you, even as washers and dryers are being replaced, there's still millions of these old ducts out there. In fact, I even still have one. Not much longer but still.. I have one. Does that mean I shouldn't be covered because I didn't bother to replace it? The reason I posted that @hmorton, should contact the Insurance Commission in her state, is I think that Insurance Company may be acting illegally, or in a very big grey area.. and I think the State should know about it. Personally, I think they are truly defrauding consumers if they have provisions in their agreements that seek to limit claims on common household accidents. I mean.. what good is a household policy if it doesn't cover a actual fire? Imagine if it was your home, and it was mortgaged. You could be sued by your Home Loan Lender, and have to file bankruptcy. A good bit of your assets would be sized in the process, of something completely unnecessary.

I am quite disappointed to see the pages disappear - I was happy when more threads started to be saved. I would have saved a few of them if I knew they were going to vanish. But maybe they will be restored.

I have just discovered that I didn't take note of the books I read last October and November - I could really use the 'what you are reading' threads as I am fairly regular in posting what I am reading there.

I sent an email to the Powers that Be (through the "Contact Us" page) on Monday, but haven't heard anything back yet....

I wonder if I ever will? Do they respond to those reader comments?
