Let's hear it for our very own Dido who, with a little help from the spirit of Dame Muriel Spark has adapted Memento Mori for BBC Radio 4.

It will be broadcast in two episodes on 21st and 28th May.

The cast includes some famous names from stage and screen and I am sure all of us will be listening, even if it is via our computers.

Dido will be setting a short test after each episode.

The first prize will be a week in her cave in the Welsh Hills.

The second prize will be two weeks . . . .

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology it will be possible to listen to both episodes for a week after they go out; maybe longer. It all depends on 'copyright'.
