I seem to remember our local water authority had an offer on- might be worth trying yours.
Some of the bird seed catalogues have them for about £80, but I've no idea if it's a good price or how well they work.

I have the Can o Worms from www.wigglywigglers.co.uk and am very satisfied with it. The summer before last was very hot here (over 40ºC) and although it was in the shade I lost a lot of worms. I now have it in my basement (where I have my studio) and it is doing fine. I have no problem with smell, ants, flies etc. The compost is excellent (if a little slow - have Spanish worms, they probably suffer from the 'mañana' syndrome) and the worm tea is marvellous. It will not cope with all the usual garden waste one puts on a compost heap but is fine for normal kitchen organic waste. If I were buying now I would probably go with the 'Worm Factory' as being rectangular would fit better into a corner. You could try posting on the Vermiculture forum here and see what is recommended as I know the Can o Worms is international.

Im sure wormeries would work well in Spain or any other warm climate,perhaps your kitchen. However I had no luck with my Wigglyworm wormery[a plastic dustbin conversion]
I persevered for 3 years,putting it in the garage,wrapping it up,giving it dried seaweed and shredded paper. There was lots of liquid manure colected but nothing but slimy smelly stuff where the compost should be. The liquid was impossible to use because its concentration was unknown so
I put it on the compostheap.
I dont need to tell you my conclusion!

Indoor micro-wormeries just about work tolerably if you avoid getting into an anaerobic crash situation where everything dies horribly in a swamp of slimy gunk - but they do take a lot of careful monitoring before you get a feel for what the healthy parameters actually are. Virtually everyone has to endure several wipe-outs before they get the hang of it.

It's such a slow proces and only worth it - in terms of sheer effort, that is - if you have a relatively high output of green kitchen waste. I run my little 'dustbin' type wormery just for the fun of it, not as an efficient source of compost. A communally managed wormery housed in a giant container would make more sense - if it's really meant to be earning its keep and not just keeping you entertained and feeling virtuous. Otherwise, for small households it's probably just a novelty that you'll give up on after the first few inevitable disappointments.
