Growing runner beans from tubers

I thought I would share my experience with leaving runners in the ground and starting them a second year.

I grew four plants in the greenhouse last year and had some nice early beans which carried on cropping until the autumn, when I cut them down and just left them in the fairly dry soil. By this april - may nothing was happening, so I started watering, and up they came. They are now setting, so no early beans, but I think I should have started watering earlier. Nice healthy plants though, with several stems each. I could do with a few more bees for pollination though.
