I am pretty sure the smaller one is a Leopard Frog, don't know about the larger one. The small frog moved into a shallow plastic bin for the last three days were I had dug up a big clump of daylilies I wanted to divide. As I was busy and had no time to do it, I just clunked them in that bin with water. It couldn't stay there, I have to dump it ever few days so I caught it and actually put it in the stocktank. Thats why I got a good look. All these years here and I never had a frog but I had above ground for ponds. I have come to the conclusion that at least around here the frogs don't like above ground. Now I have that one small pond in my backyard 3 feet by 12 inches deep and in ground and I have decided that the stocktank will also go ingound going to start digging hole hopefully this week. So hopefully I will have frogs each year from now on.

When I look towards the window right now, I see the darkest burgundy Amaryllis bloom I have EVER seen. Of course INSIDE on the window sill lol. Tomorrow I hopefully will get a picture of it. Lucy

Adding to the good advice given above, I'd suggest that you search the many hood discussions here and I especially recommend posts by kaseki. You will find that what you are considering is actually counterproductive to your goals. To summarize briefly: First, if you are putting cabinets over that 48" range top, read the installation manual for your rangetop. On most rangetops, cooktops and ranges, the manual will specify that bases of the upper cabinets should be at least 30 inches above the stove top. IIRC, some even specify 36". Going lower is considered a fire hazard. Thus, you really can't gain cabinet space over a 48" range/rangetop by using a smaller hood. Second, the effectiveness of ventilation hoods has as much or more to do with hood "capture area" as blower power. If you want to try to make up for poor capture, you need a huge increase in blower force. Think about using a vacuum cleaner. The stronger the blower, the more noise the system will make as you try to suck everything in -- maybe sucking pets and and small children off the floor :>) --- and a very loud roar. Same thing if you put a powerful vent fan in the ceiling. That kind of power utterly defeats your desire for a quiet hood. Third, a huge step-up in blower power means a huge step up in the need for make-up air, and that can and likely will be a major expense. Doesn't matter if your locality does not have codes that require MUA. We're talking the laws of physics here and avoiding backdrafting HVAC, water heaters, fireplaces, etc. Fourth, while a properly sized and designed hood may be larger than you seem to like, it also can be a lot quieter. Consider that there are two sources of noise in hoods: (a) the noise of the fans and their motors and (b) the air rushing through the baffles/filters and into the ducts. With a properly sized hood, the fans can run lower and slower because the hood enables the capture. Slower fans are quieter.

You said "new house" so does that mean you're the first occupant of a new build? If so, there's probably nothing yet needing to be done after 1.5 years but it may be a good idea to contact a servicer or the installation company for a look-see. My (aerobic) system is 14+ years and has not yet needed a pump-out, although I'm a one-person household and take appropriate usage care. It has needed repairs but the system has an alarm buzzer that triggers on a malfunction. Does your county/city jurisdiction require recurring inspection of septic systems? Mine does. I have a yearly contract with the installer for 3-times-per-year inspection which includes adding chlorine tablets when needed. I'm curious how you weren't aware of it. Sewer is normally a charge/line-item on a city services utility bill. Do you have a private water well? If no city utility bill for water service, then it goes along that you'd also have a private septic system.
