My aunt is despaeratly trying to buy varous types of Abulutions. Ahe recently moved and would like to restock her garden but has found it impossible to locate them. Can anyone suggest an online site that might sell them or anywhere from which they could be purchased - HELP
Not sure what 'restock her garden' means. Abutilons are not hardy in most of the UK except for some such as A megapotamicum and A hybridum which will survive mild winters in the South. Is your aunt aware of that? The hybrids can be grown from seed and most are easy to grow from cuttings. google 'Abutilon' for lots of vendors.
Some are small enough for growing in large pots/hanging baskets. The bigger ones are better grown in the garden, against a warm wall.
I suspect the best time to go foraging for young Abutilons is in spring. They look so little, innocent... Expect them to grow upward of six feet high and wide. But much less in containers.
They also grow quite easily from cuttings so, if you can source any plants locally, you can probably get new plants that way.
