Advice please...
The 6 shubunkins in my old, established pond have had babies. Under pressure from next door but one's 7 year old (who is really interested in pondlife & nature & I want to encourage her),in early summer I rescued a dozen fry and created a temporary, shallow pond to rescue them from parents!
6 weeks ago I built a new pond, 5m by 3m & I already have plenty of insect life and have planted with water lily, oxegenators & marginals.
With winter approaching, am I best to leave rapidly growing fry in temporary, not very deep pond that they are used to or transfer them to newer, much larger, deeper pond?
Help please, do not want upset 7 year old on my conscience!!!
Cheers,
Paula
