Copper won't help much in managing PM. If you want to go 'organic' you should start early in the season with sulfur applications. Powder sulfur tends to have a better preventive efficacy than wettable (sprayable) sulfur and vice versa with regards to their limited curative efficacy. Will not work when temps are cold. Another preventive (and somewhat curative) solution is light horticultural oils which will work at colder temps but should not be used when temps are high. Care must be taken not to apply sulfur within two-three weeks of applying oils, For both oil and sulfur applications test must be conducted first to determine if dosage is toxic to leaf tissue of the particular cultivar. With regards to synthetic fungicides I would tend to shy away from anything not labelled for the specific use when applying to edibles and then closely adhere to the time of last application and other label instructions. STAGE 1 Two bottles of Ribena were diluted with twice the amount of water (four Ribena bottles full). Yeast in the form of a nucleus was added and the mixture allowed to ferment for ten days. STAGE 2 After ten days' fermentation, two bottles of Ribena and one bottle of water were added and the mixture allowed to ferment for a further ten days. STAGE 3 After a total of twenty days' fermentation, two bottles of Ribena and one more bottle of water were added. Fermentation was then allowed to carry on to completion, taking, in all, three months. The result was a good, round wine flavored delightfully but not too strongly of fresh blackcurrants. At stage 3 it was borne in mind that, while most of the SO2 would have been driven off during fermentation by adding those last two bottles, it was, in effect, bringing the total SO2 content up to 175 parts per million. Fearing that the yeast might be just a little weakened at this stage, it was decided to drive off the SO2 in the last two bottles by raising the temperature of the to 70 deg. C. Have you figured out which of your enemies yards you're going to plant them in? I have a few suggestions lol. I cut off the flower stalk on my yamogi. It was bugging me. I like it better now, more bushy. My Lonicera cuttings had nice root systems. There were only 2. I planted them in the ground. One of them started to grow new leaves, and then they died. I'm hoping it's still alive. The other cutting still has the original leaf and has no new growth. I have 3 wood mint cuttings rooting now. The bald cypress cuttings got fried, and I still don't know how to successfully root Clematis. They always die. You got roots on the Artemisia in good time!
