Anyone interested in growing soft fruit might like to know that Ribena are running a competition offering blackurrant cuttings as prizes. It seems that it's pretty easy to win. The first ribena bottle I bought was a winner and they're advertising a 95% chance of a prize. It tells you whether you've won on the back of the label, which of course you can't see until you've drunk the contents.
I've emailed them to ask which variety the cuttings are. They're Ben Hope. Seems like a fun way to get a few blackcurrant bushes going, even though they might take a couple of years to give a decent crop.
