Thats great Aggie - its hard when you are in the midst of a heatwave and the rest of the country is getting rain and below-average temps. Thats exactly how it was in Rocky till about a week ago : keep the faith.

I have about a hundred tube stock of the austromyrtus growing at the moment and several in the garden which are flowering (cant wait for the fruit)
try propagating it as i found it grew quite easy with out bottom heat

pthah. I've got four in - two seem to be ok but the flowers seem rather sporadic, one has died for no good reason except I think the cat kept fertilising it, and one is hanging in there but it's got scorched on the edges.

On the other hand, the tomatoes have finally grown up enough to shelter the warrigal greens and they're growing enough that I can start eating 'em. Yay :)

I'd be happy with even ONE midyim berry, honest :)

(Sydney and I think the excess of rain after the couple of years of not much has confused the plants so much they're just snuffing it rather than try to cope :) ).

What do the berries look like and how big are they. I have a few plants that flower, but no berries appear. Maybe the birds and possums are too quick for me!

they are round, about 8mm diameter, and white with little black speckles. They are marginally sweet but have a bit of a resinous taste.

Now is the time for the Midyim - April and the harvest is bountiful. The tricky berries are tiny and green until a burst of rain and then they swell and ripen.
Check again on your plant if you think you had none = they might surprise you.
